• Ownership and copyright of the website’s content: The website & its content is written & created by SAKAN platform. Any redistribution or reproduction of part or all of the contents in any form is prohibited. It’s not acceptable under any circumstances to copy/screenshot/forward any of the content or visuals (photos, designs, content).
• How long we keep the personal data: Your personal data (account on the platform including your: username, real name, email address, mobile number) will be in our system as long as you have an account. Once you delete your account, all your personal data; including all your property listings will be deleted.
• We host the platform on external servers and so, we’re not responsible or liable for any data leaks from their side.
• Third party liability: SAKAN (platform, blog, social media, business profile, and any other communication channel) is not liable for the comments (or any other form content) of its users or customers. SAKAN is only responsible and reliable for our own content & messaging.
• Carrying out manual & automated decision (for e.g. accepting & rejecting user registrations): At the moment, we’re verifying users (tenants) via their social media profiles, emails, & mobile numbers. (We’ll be integrating SAKAN with digital ID’s soon). We’re also verifying users (landlords) via their “property ownership & registration documents”. At this time, we only allow female landlords & we add the property listings for male landlords ourselves (extra safety for female tenants; as they share their house locations & personal details). We’ll soon open the platform for male landlords to add their properties and view only the properties they list.
• who can register to the platform & list properties: Female tenants (who are looking for housing or a flatmate, or are looking for a replacement for their room). Female landlords can register (and male landlords, very soon). All landlords can list their properties We don’t have a dashboard for real-estate agents at the moment; however, real-estate representatives are welcome to register & list (if they’re the only representative for the landlord)
• Fake accounts: We’re doing our best to manually verify each user’s profile (via phone number & social media account URL). We’re not responsible for any fake account or someone pretending to be a person they’re not. If we’ve missed something, or you suspect someone is not who they claim they’re or their account is fake, misleading, or providing false information in any listing, kindly report asap here in order for us to do our due-diligence & ban from the platform.
• Testimonials: We have the right to use any testimonial provided to us via any communication channel in our marketing material; without asking for consent.
• Our content on all digital platforms (in all shapes: video, photos, written content, written & voice notes through our communication channels) only represent our own opinion, we’re not liable of any person or institute taking personal offence in what we produce. We’re not liable to any suits on grounds of defamation.
• Defamation: Any person/user has the right to speak their mind on their own personal experience with SAKAN platform; other than that, any comments/posts/any form of allegations hurting the brand/image of the venture, will be taken seriously and a suit will be filed for defamation. This clause applies to media outlets as well.
